*CLOSED* Talent Tuesday Giveaway: Justin Roberts Pop Fly

Music is said to soothe the savage beast. But what will soothe my savage beasts?? They laugh in the face of mellow classical music, scoff at bubbly pop, and poo-poo (pun intended) rap and country. Is there any hope for me then?! Ok, ok, enough with the dramatics, but it really is hard to find music that your little one can groove to for more than a second without losing interest. When I was contacted about Justin Roberts, I was in the dark. It was suggested that I go to his website and check out some of the songs and videos that were there. So, with the kids playing in the floor I went to "work". No sooner had the first 3 seconds of the song played than I had 2 little monsters clawing at my ankles wanting "up up up" to see what the commotion was. There we sat, me working, and my 2 little men bouncing, humming, singing watermelon to the fun and hilarious songs we were all hearing for the first time.

Now, I love my boys, but it is an understatement to say that they are rambunctious. They sit still for nothing. Seriously, NOTHING. But, by some fancy music magic, Justin Roberts held their interest for 4 songs, played 2 times each, so for 8 songs! I wish I had a jaw dropping emoticon to use, because I was floored. I could hardly believe it, and I thought for sure it was a fluke. After receiving the CD in the mail, I took off the cellophane, popped it into the computer, put on that cool little spinny screen you can do in WMP, and we went at it dancing and laughing and acting out the songs. We had such a blast. And nope, it was no fluke!

With silly lyrics that the kids can giggle to, and fun music that even makes a mom's head bob, this CD is the perfect mix for the whole family. It is so wholesome, fun, and deeply musical in the best sense that you will have no qualms letting your kids listen to this. As a matter of fact, Justin Roberts was once a Montessori preschool teacher, so you probably couldn't find a musician better attuned to children's musical needs and wants. This combo of catchy lyrics (I found myself singing "pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, popfly popfly!" while cleaning. ) and bouncy tunes makes for the best kids album that I have ever heard! Check out Justin Roberts' website for samples of the Popfly album, as well as music and videos from his previous 7 CDs. Don't forget the apparel so you and your little ones can proudly display your Justin love!

I am pleased to announce that I am giving away Justin Roberts' latest CD Pop Fly!

Fruit Jar is also my favorite. Very folky and excellent lyrics. "Spin that old propeller, Watch it rise up, Way past the moon. And if love don't find you, You know it's going to be there soon." Thanks for this great giveaway.
