*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #10 - Fresh Baby Baby Food Kit

Like so many things I relearned with my second boy, baby food became a new kind of priority for me. When you take a closer look at jarred baby food you find that you are actually paying more for water, starch, and sugar than you are for the nutritional foods. I started looking into making my own baby food and then, on a whim, I pureed some bananas sitting on my counter and the rest, as they say, is history.

I never looked back, never wished for the "easier" days of Gerber and Beechnut, and I never ever felt bad putting a single spoonful of homemade baby food into my son's mouth. With a few simple items and a little bit of know how I was able to spend 30 minutes and have a fridge and freezer full of nutritious, homemade food that never failed to please my chunky monkey.

Fresh Baby makes the So Easy Baby Food Kit. It contains the information you need to learn about preparing and storing your baby's food. It also tells you the nutritional needs of your child at each stage and what foods best fulfill those needs. The kit includes an instructional DVD, freezer trays with lids, cookbook, and nutritional tips card.

You can start with the DVD included in the kit that gives you a quick run down of the "how-to" of baby food making. Then hang your Nutrition Card on the fridge. I LOVE the Nutrition Card because it is so much more than what I would have pictured it being. The obvious is the information about the nutrients your baby needs, and what food pack the best punch. But the part that I love is that there is also a CPR section, and an illness section that gives you food "cures". And if you forget what you saw in their DVD there is also a short reminder section for that. And it's laminated, so no amount of slung peas will stain this baby!

Now that you've done your homework you can dive into the cookbook and start making your baby food! Store the batches of food in the freezer trays (after washing, of course), cover, and freeze. After the foods have frozen, you can transfer them to Ziploc baggies, or keep them in the trays. At mealtime all you have to do is grab your fruits and veggies 1oz at a time! No more wasting food, just grab what you need, heat, and serve!

It doesn't get any easier than this, and the money you save adds up quickly! If I didn't convince you then you can read more at Fresh Baby's website, but if you're sold enter to win your own Fresh Baby Baby Food Kit!

*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #9 - Mutsy Grow-Up Seat

This isn't exactly a newborn product, but as soon as your little one can sit up, you will need a good seat to feed them in. This flexible, cushioned booster by Mutsy can be used alone, on a standard kitchen chair, or in conjunction with Musty's Easygrow. The 5 point harness ensures that your child is safe and secure while they are being fed.

There are so many things that I like about the Grow-Up. First, and most superficial, are the colors. They are vibrant, gorgeous, deep colors, and the Grow-Up would fit in at even the most stylish dining room table. Second, is the ease of use. I loathe having to fish for straps, slide this in here, and then hook that in there, then try to hold all the pieces together while I simultaneously attempt to anchor it all together in the middle. What a pain in my backside! The side and shoulder straps on either side of the seat are already connected, so you simply lift the shoulder strap over your child's arm, pull the side across their lap and snap. Then lather, rinse, and repeat on the other side. Top, middle, and bottom straps are fully adjustable for the most comfortable fit for your child. The seat straps onto your regular kitchen chair and is held securely with a back strap and a bottom strap that tightens underneath your chair. Third, I love the material that the soft part of the seat is made of. It squishes like the Bumbo, but it has a cool textured feel. Last, it's easy to clean. For most foods you just wipe them up with a wet cloth and you're good to go. Then you can use your favorite baby-safe cleaner, like Dapple, and do a quick deep cleaning wipe down. For us, it's been the perfect alternative to the high-chair, and this way even your littlest one can join in the conversations at the table.

To find out more about the entire Mutsy collection of seats, strollers, and more visit Mutsy's website. To purchase your Mutsy products visit Goores.com and use coupon code gbrmu for 10% off your entire order at checkout! One lucky family is going to win a Mutsy Grow-Up seat for their table!

*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #8 - Monster Fluff Studios

Yesterday I told you about cloth diapers. Bagshot Row makes fitted diapers which you pair with some sort of cover. Today, I'm going to educate you on my favorite brand of covers!

Monster Fluff Studios has the softest, heavy-weight fleece covers out there. They have additional fleece sewn in where it matters the most. Their embroidered designs are so adorable, and the characters are perfect to put on my little monster's tush. There are 2 main types of fleece covers, soakers and longies. Soakers, like the one pictured at the top, go over a fitted or prefold diaper and are great to pair with a matching t-shirt on warm days. Longies are long fleece pants, and when you put this over a diaper, you don't need any other pants! Or, if you're using them during a cool winter, they can go under another pair of pants for super warmth. These are also great to use in snow because of their waterproof nature.

The most recent addition to the Monster Fluff Studios shop are their Monster Fluffie blankets. These crazy textured, super soft blankets are made of swirled minkie fabric, and a contrasting pattern on the back. The edges are ruffled with a silky binding that makes feeling fun for little hands. They are gorgeous and make great additions to Monster Fluff sets, or the perfect baby blanket gift.

A lucky reader is going to get a soaker of their choice. This would be in perfect combination with the Bagshot Row diaper you're sure to win.

How To Enter: Go to Monster Fluff Studio's website and then tell me which soaker you want. {INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS}

*ENDED* *3 WINNERS* Newborn Giveaway #8 - Bagshot Row Cloth Diapers

When I was growing up my mom used prefold cloth diapers with my brother and sister. I specifically remember sloshing yucky poop around in the toilet, and, more specifically, I remember HATING the whole idea of using cloth diapers. So, when my first son was born and I started hearing about cloth diaper usage being on the rise again, I had to figure out why in the world these modern moms would even consider such a thing. Here is what I found.

Options - You are no longer limited to flat, boring, rectangular prefolds. These are, of course, still an option, but now you can choose from a plethora of reusable options.

* Fitted and Covers - shaped like a disposable, you combine this with a water proof cover. These can be made of absorbent bamboo, flannel, or other fabrics. Covers can be anything from fleece to PUL.

* All In Ones - These go on and off just like a dispoable with either velcro or snaps.

*Pockets - These are very similar to the All In Ones except that the absorbent portion of the diaper is removeable for more thorough washing and faster drying.

Style - You cannot even begin to image the fabric and color options that are out there. If you have a little girl, just imagine the pattern of your choice, or a beautiful personalized design poking out from under her dress instead of plain ole Pampers.

Convenience - You already wash clothes everyday, so adding a small load of diapers every couple of days is no big deal. This also means no more running out to the store when you realize you only have 2 diapers left!

Money - Although the initial investment is a bit larger than traditional diapers, the long term cost pays off quickly. Bagshot Row has the best fitted diapers, and they are one size. So you buy one stash of diapers, take good care of them, and you're set for the duration of diapering of at LEAST one child, possibly all of them!

Two of the highest quality diapers I have tried is the One Size Fitted and Tucked In All Night from Bagshot Row Bamboo. There are no closures on it so you can use a Snappi to truly make the fit custom. From newborn to potty-trained, it fits like a glove every time. The prints offered are just gorgeous, and with 12 layers of absorbency in the One Size and 14 in the Tucked In All Night, youll never have to worry about leaks. Plenty of Mamas let their little ones go coverless during the day because the absobency is so steller. Also, included with every diaper is a doubler. This is a steal, and I have yet to see another Mama who includes so much with her diaper purchases!

Bagshot Row has also added some new fun to their diapers. They are now offering their classic with fabric embellishments, like the one you see here. These are so adorable, and I hope I get the chance to try one soon!

Have you ever thought about trying cloth diapers? Or maybe not, but this post has intrigued you? Then enter to win 1 of 3 Bagshot Row Custom Diapers! That's right... I know, there is supposed to be one winner per day. So here is how today is going to work. Bagshot row is our ONLY sponsor for today! They are the exsclusive. They are offering us 3 diapers and the winners get to pick them. I thought about making this one big prize, but I really want to spread the cloth diapering love, and more specifically the Bagshot Row love, so 3 lucky families will be winning 1 diaper each.

How To Enter: Go to Bagshot Row's website and then tell me why you would like to try this cloth diaper. {INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS}

*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #6 - Mod Mum Slings

When I found out I was pregnant with my oldest, I had no idea about slings. I had seen the old school carriers, and did buy one, but it was always really uncomfortable and hurt my back immensely. My child didn't seem to enjoy it anymore than I did! During my second pregnant I started reading about slings, and ended up with a pouch sling. I loved it! Every trip that we took, the baby stayed in the sling. He felt as secure as if he were swaddled, the rocking motion of walking mimiced the same movement he felt in the womb, and he loved being close to my body. It made going out a good experience for everyone.

Mod Mum Baby Slings makes some of the nicest slings that I've ever seen. Their fabric choices are all super trendy, and I love the padded section where baby's legs go during the hip carry. This ensures that they are comfy at all times. I have the Sadie pattern, and this is one of Mod Mum's best sellers.

Contrary to some of the negative information that has been floating around lately, baby wearing is beneficial to you and your baby. Your child feels secure and cozy, and you get the benefits of snuggle time when you might otherwise not have had it! Slings are also a great tool to use to get things done around the house when your little one doesn't want to be put down! I've washed dishes, vacuumed, folded clothes, dusted, and so much more while wearing my boy! And it's so much easier than people think. Here is a great video from Mod Mum demonstrating how to use the sling in the hip carry. (There are instructions on their website for other holds)

One of you guys are going to win the sling of your choice from Mod Mum!

*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #5 - Natural Mat

I cannot even begin to tell you how much time I spent looking for crib bedding online. First I was focused on pink and frilly, and then, once I found out both of my pregnancies were boys, I switched to snakes, and snails, and puppy dog tails. In the end, I used the same bedding for both boys because it was economical, my oldest had outgrown his crib, and after some SIDS research I had decided not to use a traditional crib bumper at all. I didn't see a need to buy a whole new bedding set just to hang a quilt on a wall, toss the bumper, and use the sheet.

That is why I love Natural Mat's organic crib sheets! They actually make crib mattresses and waterproof pads as well, but my favorite, so far, is the sheet! The fabric is a gender neutral taupe color, and the fit is nice and tight, which is essential to a safe crib! Made of 100% organic cotton Natural Mat leaves their crib sheets undyed and unbleached. Au naturale!

And if you're looking for a crib mattress, just look at this laundry list of reasons to go with Natural Mat! (courtesy of the Natural Mat website!)

100% ORGANIC - We dont use any glues or bonding agents and you will not find any chemicals or synthetic materials whosoever in your mat.

Better Sleep – Babies sleep better on a Natural Mat mattress! We conducted a recent customer survey and 100% of the mothers questioned stated that their babies slept better on a Natural Mat. “My baby has never slept better. Before I bought the rubber latex mattress he used to be such an active sleeper. Now he sinks into his mattress because it is so comfortable and sleeps through the night.”

Non-allergenic and anti-dust mite - More and more babies are suffering from allergies and asthma. Our natural rubber Latex is 100% non-allergenic and our unique lambswool is bathed in a mixture made from essential oils of lemon, lavender and eucalyptus which renders it anti-dust mite.

Our Natural Latex is 100% hypoallergenic and offers complete protection from house dust mites. Every Natural Mat has a removable pure cotton outer cover that can be machine washed at 60 degrees C (dust mites are killed at 57 degrees) which offers further allergy protection.

Naturally Fire Retardant - Natural Mat passes all fire regulations without the use of chemical or unnatural treatments in any part of the mattress. All our mattressees are covered in two unbleached, undyed 100% cotton covers that have no FR additives. All our mattresses comply to the new federal 16 CFR 1633 requirements.

Long Lasting Superior Support - Our durable naturally sprung mattress cores provide superior and longer lasting level of support than any other synthetic foam or metal spring. We use wool batting rather than cotton, it is a far more resilient fiber with better ventilation and insulation properties.

Handmade for you in Devon, England - Our organic mattresses are handmade from the finest materials in the world to provide your baby with the most comfortable and safest sleeping environment possible for those important first years of life.

100% Renewable - All our raw materials come from 100% renewable and sustainable sources that complay with Fair Trade policies.

Eco Packaging - All packaging used for Natural Mat mattresses is 100% biodegradable and 100% recyclable. Our carton is made from a mixture of recycled and renewable paper resources from FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) managed forests.

One of my lucky readers is going to get a Natural Mat sheet of their own!

*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #4 - Bug & Pickle

Earlier today I gave you a chance to take care of your skin, and now it's time to focus on both of you. Bug & Pickle has a line of mother and baby products that cover you from pregnancy to toddlerhood. Their trendy products help keep your skin elastic while it's growing, help it shrink back down after baby, and then move on to pamper your baby from head to toe. Here are a few of my favorites.

Scalp Oil - If you baby gets cradle cap, it can be a battle to get rid the flaky skin. Bug & Pickle's Scalp Oil uses gentle, natural apricot oil infused with lemon and geranium to help repair the skin. Just a dab'll do ya with this one, and a quick bath in the morning to rise it off!

Diaper Gel - Traditionally diaper rash is treated with a cream, and more specifically a barrier cream. The skin can't breath, which essential to healing, and so alot of times diaper creams can hurt more than they help. Bug & Pickle's Diaper Gel uses a combination of aloe and green tea to soothe, and lavender, yarrow and blue chamomile to reduce redness and irritation. As a bonus this gel can also be used to soothes cuts, scrapes, bug bites and sunburn.

Baby Lotion - Their scrumptous smelling orange, lavender, and chamomile lotion goes on silky smooth. The formula is extra gentle, so that it won't irritate baby's sensitive skin. To moisturize this lotion emplys extracts of green tea, aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E.

Be sure to check out the entire line of products at Bug & Pickle's website, but in the meantime you could have the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to choose the items you most want!

*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #3 - Mama Mio!

Not every product that you'll need for after baby is born will actually be for your baby. One of the fastest things that happens when you have a newborn is forgetting how to care for yourself. Here are some quotes from real moms who have experienced this, unfortunate, side-effect of motherhood.

Lauren @ 4 Baby and Mom said "It's hard to take care of yourself after baby. I mean, really- when the baby needs a bottle, your toddler has to use the potty, the phone is ringing, and your oldest still hasn't gotten his socks on for school- a ponytail and baseball cap is much easier!"

Allie @ No Time For Flashcards said "How could I take care of myself ? I had a baby who never slept, always nursed, and was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. So instead I cuddled in, watched a lot of Cosby show on Nick at Night, and reminded myself I would have years and years to shave my legs, it could wait. I'm not sure if my husband agreed but he was sleeping so I didn't ask."

Melinda @ Look What Mom Found said "When they were infants I tried to sleep when they slept but that meant I didn't have time to do those simple things for me like eat, bathe, and brush my teeth."

What are we going to do about this ladies? For starters, I'm going to offer you a tool to help get your body back. When your mind and body are healthy and in sync, the rest of your life follows after. There is such a strong mind-body connection that most people aren't aware of, that if you're feeling negative about one, it's going to affect the other.

Mama Mio has an entire line of products dedicated to helping us moms take better care of every aspect of our skin. Now, if I were to put up a poll of what part of our bodies were most affected by our pregnancies, I think everyone would agree it's our skin. Your breasts grow, your belly swells, your hips widen... EVERYTHING going on affects your skin! For myself, the most devastating part of this growing and swelling were the stretchmarks. Mine aren't for the faint hearted and, no joke, I have them from the bottom of my breasts to the top of my... well... you know. They're on my hips, my thighs, my arms, even behind my knees. I saw my very first stretch mark at 13 weeks. Do you realize how early that is? I knew, from that point, it was going to be bad. The picture you see here is the very last belly picture that I took during my first pregnancy. I was 39 weeks... and riddled with stretchmarks.

I think most women feel that there isn't an option - what's done is done. And before trying the Mama Mio Goodbye Stretch Marks cream, I believed that too. The bottle says 12 weeks, 3x a day and this is what Mama Mio says:

"Our radically effective ingredients are
clinically proven to reduce the appearance
of stretchmarks by over 70%."

I've been using this cream 3x a day for a little over a week now, and I can already see the faintest difference. And what makes Goodbye Stretch Marks different from the other products on the market? Read about what these ingredients do, and how they work HERE. If I can tell a difference in THAT stomach, and the one I amstarting to see now, then I have no doubt that Goodbye Stretch Marks will work for ANYONE! (And it smells SO yummy!)

One of you is going to get the chance to find out! Mama Mio is giving one of our lukcy readers their own bottle of Goodbye Stretch Marks (a $70 value!).

*ENDED* Newborn Giveaway #2 - Crane Humidifier

My first son was as healthy as a horse. Actually, until my 2nd was born he had never had a single sick visit to the doctor, and he was almost 2 1/2 when the baby came. But, bring 2 children into the mix, 2 sets of hands fingering every germ infested surface, and 2 immune systems to keep up, and someone is going to fall ill. And they did. This wasn't such a problem for my big boy. I could give him toddler meds and blow his nose, but the baby was another story. When your children are under a certain age, there are very few over-the-counter meds that they can safely ingest. So, the most you can do it suck out their little nose and try to make them as comfortable as possible.

When you're talking about cold and flu season, or winter in general, one of the major tools you need in your baby's wellness arsenal is a humidifier. Cool mist humidifiers help to moisten up the nasal passages and sinuses so that baby can breath easier. But, now, another problem. Most humidifiers are ugly pieces of junk that you don't want anywhere near the gorgeous nursery that you just spent 9 months perfecting. Crane is the solution! They manufacture the most adorable humidifiers ever! From their signature elephant and frog styles, to licensed characters like Thomas the Tank Engine, whatever style, color, or theme you're looking for, they have something to fit the bill.

And another step towards keeping your home cold and flu free, is by using an air purifier. Because of the success of their humidifers, they were recently able to expand to include the purifiers! They have a five step filtration system, including a HEPA filter and UV germicidal light. Wow. Sounds complicated right? Well, leave that part up to Crane, and you just enjoy giving your family cleaner air to breathe.

Now, for the good part! Crane is giving one of our readers their choice of the FROG or ELEPHANT humidifier! These are their 2 most popular designs, and the styles are gorgeous and perfect for boys or girls!
