When I found out I was pregnant with my oldest, I had no idea about slings. I had seen the old school carriers, and did buy one, but it was always really uncomfortable and hurt my back immensely. My child didn't seem to enjoy it anymore than I did! During my second pregnant I started reading about slings, and ended up with a pouch sling. I loved it! Every trip that we took, the baby stayed in the sling. He felt as secure as if he were swaddled, the rocking motion of walking mimiced the same movement he felt in the womb, and he loved being close to my body. It made going out a good experience for everyone.
Mod Mum Baby Slings makes some of the nicest slings that I've ever seen. Their fabric choices are all super trendy, and I love the padded section where baby's legs go during the hip carry. This ensures that they are comfy at all times. I have the Sadie pattern, and this is one of Mod Mum's best sellers.
Contrary to some of the negative information that has been floating around lately, baby wearing is beneficial to you and your baby. Your child feels secure and cozy, and you get the benefits of snuggle time when you might otherwise not have had it! Slings are also a great tool to use to get things done around the house when your little one doesn't want to be put down! I've washed dishes, vacuumed, folded clothes, dusted, and so much more while wearing my boy! And it's so much easier than people think. Here is a great video from Mod Mum demonstrating how to use the sling in the hip carry. (There are instructions on their website for other holds)

I really like the Lily pattern. All the patterns are so wonderful!
My daughter is four months old and has to be held 24/7. I would get SO much use out of this item, it would feel like a lifesaver for me! My neighbor offered to watch my daughter for two hours last week to give me a much-needed break and when I went to pick her up, she was safely and happily ensconced in a baby sling. I fell in love with the product then and there! My neighbor still had use of her arms and yet my daughter was happy as a clam since she still had the body contact! I was nervous about whether or not I could figure out how to use one, so I watched the video on how to wear a baby sling. Oh my gosh - it is so easy! I can't believe I haven't gotten one already!
My favorite pattern is the maya - stylish, practical and very cute! Thank you very much for hosting this incredibly giveaway and I know the lucky winner will be thrilled to receive this awesome product!
