Are You In My Grab Bag of Sponsors?

I can't believe it, but the time has finally come to announce. My ticket is purchased, my hotel booked, and I am all set to go to the Blogher '09 "In Real Life" conference in July! I owe such a huge thank you to my great friend Sarah from The Ohana Mama for finding my ticket, and to Cathi from The Way I See It Too for relinquishing her pass to me! I am forever indebted to the both of you, and obviously, this wouldn't be happening without these fabulous mamas!

WHY I AM GOING TO BLOGHER '09
Before I started Grab Bag Reviews I had a deep need to connect with other adults, and moms in particular. I felt my vocabulary slipping from intelligent speech to the likes of "poopy" and "booger" and I wanted a way to preserve myself as a mother, woman, and adult that would also be of service to the people I was trying to connect with. That led me to blogging.

Since jumping into the comfortable warm waters of the blogosphere I have met some really incredible people, and deepened a few previous relationships. I have the privilege to work along side some great groups of women like Team Mom, Busy Mom, and Playdate Picks and I am forever learning from the seasoned vets of the blog world. I have explored some truly amazing companies from the small starters, to local botiques, to the big wig brands like Kushies, Mam, and Boon.

I spend countless hours every day writing, researching, spell checking, link checking, picture taking, product testing.... and I could not be happier! When my son asks me what I'm doing on the computer I tell him I'm working. But unlike every single other job I've had, I enjoy blogging, and I have passion for it! THIS is the kind of job people dream about; where they wake up running to check their email, mentally writing the next paragraph in between bites of asparagus, and checking for packages like a school girl waiting for a letter from her pen pal! The positivity that Grab Bag has given me, and the creative outlet it has become are now essential parts of my life.

The next logical step? GET BETTER! So that is where BlogHer '09 comes in.

PICK ME! PICK ME!
The cost of sending a representative from a company to the conference is not cheap. But it IS cheap to offer a sponsorship to a blogger so that they can represent you! I am asking a few lucky companies for $200 contributions to help offset my expenditures. What a deal, right?!

Blogher is big - HUGE - and companies know this. That means competition will be alive and kicking, right alongside the blogging. You wouldn't want to miss out on a piece of the 1200 person pie that is a golden marketing opportunity, would you?

Let's Break It Down
I am looking for a few good brands to sponsor $200 portions of my conference costs. And in return you get...

1. A write up about your company, mentioning sponsorship, before the conference.
2. Prime advertising real estate on my blog for the remainder of 2009
3. All blogs posted during the conference will be "brought you to by... YOU!"
4. I can wear a tee shirt, button, bag, etc. made by your company or with your logo on it. {LIMITED AVAILABILITY!! ACT FAST!)
5. I will give your card and any marketing materials you want to every.single.person I meet
6. I will be passing out Grab Bag Swag Bags during one of the biggest Swag parties of the whole conference, and you can have your product in the Swag Bag if you please.

{Other ideas can absolutely be discussed at your convenience}

Which leads me too...

The Grab Bag Swag Bag
I am putting together what I hope will be the hottest swag bag of the bunch. If you can't afford a sponsorship but have some swag you'd like to include in my bag it's only $50 plus the products. If I were a PR company I would charge you $500 or more for the same service. Man I'm nice, aren't I?

So, whether you are in this with me or not I'm going. But if your company is fabulous and you want to get the word out, we can work together to make the most of BlogHer. Scratch eachother's backs, if you will. If you're interested in sponsorship just shoot me an email. Don't have the funds for the full $200? Email me anyway. I'm sure we can work something out!

I am so excited about the conference and about the amazing companies that I am going to be spreading the word for!
