I think it's safe to say that I'm a bag whore. Not purses, as I haven't bought a new purse in about 2 years. But, I am a reusable bag whore and the Flip & Tumble sold at Stubby Pencil is my newest infatuation. Ahhh, how I love thee...let me count the ways.
Ok, so this is by far the most shallow reason to love reusable shopping bags, but it's still a reason. I'm a woman and a I love beautiful things. I'm a mom and so I get jipped on beauty alot of the times. Choosing adorable bags, that are also functional allows me to get the most bang for my buck! The Flip & Tumble comes in many different shade combos that are super trendy.
They're Better for the Environment
I think it's safe to say that this is the most obvious reason for switching to reusable grocery bags. A Plastic bag takes 450 years to decompose, and I don't know about your family but we use about 10-15 plastic bags per grocery trip. That's alot of bags... and that's ALOT of garbage that doesn't have to be sitting in our dumps, waiting to breakdown.
Speaking of how many bags you use...
I use about half as many reusable bags as I do plastic. My reusable bags can hold a minimum of 20lbs a piece, which means I can pack 'em tight. I've had a dilema with getting the boys out of the car, and then getting groceries into the house, all while mauvering the door and the bags, and trying to keep the kiddos from escaping outside. The less time I have to spend going in and out the door with groceries, the better!
Because The Creases Your Hands Get From Carrying Heavy Plastic Bags Suck
The Flip & Tumble has a nice width to it's strap and a wonderful padded area that saves you from those dreaded creases, be it on your hand or shoulder.
Flip & Tumble Folds Up Nice & Tidy
The Flip & Tumbles ingenious design allows it fold down to the size of a squashed tennis ball so you can toss a couple of them in your glove compartment or console so they're quick and easy to grab whenever you need them.
These bags are all around great, and there are definitely more reasons to go reusable than not. Head over to their website and checkout the color selection and also their Loopt line of bags. But if you want to win one for yourself, you can do that to!
