*ENDED* Skuut Bike Giveaway!

Training wheels, big boy bikes, Hot Wheels... and then there is Skuut ((skoot)). Skuut is a new kind of bike, just for kids, that involves no peddling, and allows your child to feel like a big kid on just 2 wheels. Skuut has a smaller range of motion than traditional bicycles, which keeps the rider from veering too far off course.

The Skuut bike is for ages 2-5, but even my youngest, who is only 16 months, has been able to enjoy it. The wooden middle can be placed right side up for traditional height, or upside down to accomodate smaller children. My oldest found this bike to be super fun, and he loves skuuting around inside the house! The construction is very sturdy, and the whole bike comes together with less than 5 minutes of assembly time.

We love our Skuut and hope that would will love it just as much! And to give you the chance to have one of your own Skuut is giving Grab Bag readers a chance to win one of their own!

What a wonderful giveaway (ending on my B-day...would be a great gift to give to my little one to celebrate)

I love that you can not only glide with it, but that you can skuut it, ride it and walk it. It looks very cool and sleak; something my little one would adore and wear out the wheels on!!!!

Please count me in (hopefully being the first commentator will bring me luck)!!!!

Looks like a great bike. It makes sense that this would help the transition to a traditional two wheeler bike

LN said...

It's called a Skuut because the child scoots by pushing his feet off the floor :) What a brilliant idea!

makeetis said...

Way less scary than a traditional two-wheeler (and less likely to produce scraped knees), the Skuut also teaches steering, coordination, and independence. brewerchickey78(at)yahoo.com

Do not leave or store the Skuut outside for long periods of time. Though it is protected by a lacquer veneer coating, it is still made of wood, and is susceptable to warping, rotting, etc from too much exposure to the elements

Wow! Cool! Something I would note is that seems to be smaller in size than you would imagine at first, if you're basing your conception on regular pedal bike; if you watch the video of the kids using it you can see it looks really small proportionally when you're used to seeing a pedal bike. At first I thought, geez, that's low, won't they drag their feet, but it's obviously designed that way to allow them to easily catch themselves, and they all easily tucked their feet up when they wanted to coast. :-)

When first riding the Skuut a child will tilt from one side to the other and her feet stop her from tipping over like training wheels. Soon balance becomes second nature and she can ride for several yards with her feet off the ground.
